Students at Ray High School were ushered out of the building just before 3 p.m. Tuesday, after the power went out.

"The first and second floor, the lights were out, and then the principal went on and said the light went out and that they were going to call a fire drill just in case any emergency was going on," said Christopher Villa, a senior at Ray High School.

Generators also failed to kick in, and students were ultimately dismissed about a half hour early.

At this point, it is unknown what caused the outage, but neighbors said it is the second power outage in a week for the school.
