The step mother accused of causing the drowning death of her 6 year old step son will be back in court tomorrow. The State is expected to call more witnesses Monday in the Laura Day capital murder case. Prosecutors say the woman failed to do everything in her power to save 6 year old Taylor Syring after he went underwater near Bob Hall Pier last October. Prosecutors say Day never called 911, or tried to take the boy to a close fire station. Instead they say he arrived at the hospital too late. The defense contends that Day did everything she could have done. 3 News will be in the courtroom and continue to bring you updates from this capital murder trial.
