The man suspected of stabbing and killing a Corpus Christi man at a Best Western in Three Rivers was captured in Houston Thursday night.
The suspect, 24-year old Nicholas Letroy Jenkins, was found hallucinating in a Houston hospital. He is suspected of stabbing and killing 22-year old Rafael Garcia, a Corpus Christi man that worked with Jenkins at the Three Rivers Valero Plant.
Police believe Jenkins stabbed Garcia in the parking lot of the Best Western after going to a convenience store across the street and purchasing a knife and bleach, which he allegedly used to clean himself after the stabbing occurred. He then fled to Houston, where he is from.
Officers discovered Jenkins' vehicle Houston, which he had set on fire and left behind.
Garcia leaves behind a wife and child in Corpus Christi. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Trevino Funeral Home.
