Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi broke ground for more growth to take place on their campus as they prepare to build some more, badly needed student housing.

Ground was broken at the future site of what TAMUCC is calling Momentum Village. It will be located on the University's Momentum Campus, which is off Ennis Joslin near the tennis center.

Officials expect the new housing to be completed by July of 2015, and said it will be able to house nearly 500 students.
