Corpus Christi police made three arrests after observing a street race take place in the 1600 block of North Shoreline Boulevard early Sunday morning.

It was about 12:30 a.m. Sunday when officers spotted 19-year olds Ryan Dodson and Jordan Cookus racing on North Shoreline Boulevard. The officers also saw one of the vehicles performing donuts for a crowd of people as they approached the scene.

Dodson was arrested for racing and reckless driving, and Cookus was arrested for racing as well.

During their arrest, 18-year old Christian Farley approached the police and began interfering. They then arrested Farley for interference with public duties. All three teens were transported to the City Detention Center.
