REFUGIO, TX (Kiii Sports) - The top-ranked team in 2A, the Refugio Bobcats, won't let anybody sneak up on them, and that includes their toughest district opponent, the Banquete Bulldogs.

Both teams enter into Friday's showdown with a perfect 7-0 record as the defending state champions hope to stave off the upset.

Banquete played one of the best halves against the Bobcats all season long last year as the Bulldogs went into the break down just two touchdown at 28-14. But their play ignited Refugio on both sides of the ball, as the Bobcats scored 27 straight points to win the game 55-14, the district title and eventually go on to the school's second state title.

Coach Jason Herring says he expects another "war" with Banquete this Friday in a game that projects to be for the district crown.
