A man was arrested Thursday after a shooting at around 2:30 a.m. outside of the IHOP restaurant on SPID.

Police said 30-year old Juan Duenes was arrested for aggravated assault.

According to police, groups of men were arguing outside the restaurant when shots were fired. Two men were injured during the dispute, and both were taken to a hospital by ambulance.

"Nothing fatal right now," said Lt. Robert Alvarado of the Corpus Christi Police Department. "There's one that's possibly serious. It went through his upper back and they don't know if it was lodged in his lung, so they rushed him to MMC to get taken care of and treated."

Officials believe the incident is gang related.
