A jury has been seated and is ready to hear the state's testimony in the case of 25-year old Chastity Longbine and her father, 56-year old Dennis Longbine. They are accused of fatally shooting 30-year old Jesus Quintanilla in May of 2012.

Quintanilla's family said they will be in the front row when the trial begins.

"We're just ready to find some closure, but we'll never get over it," said Korina Quintanilla, the victim's sister.

Korina said her brother Jesse was always happy and full of energy. Two years after his murder, she says the family still cannot come to grips with the fact that he's gone. She said that the day before he was shot and killed, Jesse told his mother to forgive the woman at the center of the murder trial, Chastity Longbine, for being the way she was.

Korina said they never really saw Longbine as their brother's girlfriend, and that she plans to be in the courtroom every day of the trial.

Opening statements in the Longbine trial begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Judge David Stith's 319th District Court.
