Visitors at the Texas State Aquarium got a bite out of shark-week on Saturday. The festivities were a part of a kick off event happening at the aquarium today.

Families were getting to see some of the predators that call the Texas State Aquarium home. There were also lots of shark themed activities, all to get people in the spirit of shark week.

Richard Glover with the Texas State Aquarium said, "we've got a lot of kids activities. We've got a scavenger hunt going on. We got a 20 foot inflatable shark you can take your picture with. We have several programs throughout the day that are shark focused."

Kids even got to touch some of the sea-life including a baby shark. Shark-week events continue through next weekend at the aquarium.
