A local woman had to be rescued from a fire that broke out at a mobile home just after 1 p.m. Friday at Yorktown and Waldron.
"I'm pretty sure she had smoke inhalation and some minor burns," said Chief Dale Scott of the Flour Bluff Volunteer Fire Department.
Crews said that smoke was coming from the bottom of the home as well as a window. Firefighters had to break down a door to get to the woman, who firefighters say was in her mid-20s.
The woman was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay. There has been no word yet as to what caused the fire.
