Astros' No. 1 overall prospect Forrest Whitley has been suspended 50 games for using an undisclosed substance under the Minor League Baseball Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Astros’ No. 1 overall prospect Forrest Whitley has been suspended 50 games for using an undisclosed substance under the Minor League Baseball Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

The RHP Whitley finished the season with the Hooks in 2017 and was expected to start in Corpus Christi this year.

The suspension was not for PED use, which would have been 80 games and identified by MLB in its release.
