Hooks' offense explodes in Opening Day win over San Antonio

Corpus Christi scored a whopping nine runs in the first inning of the season in a 14-2 win over the Missions.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Corpus Christi Hooks started the season with bang Friday in a 14-2 stomping of the San Antonio Missions.

The Hooks opened up with nine runs in the first inning highlights by homeruns from Shay Whitcomb and Grae Kessinger.

Jimmy Endersby didn't get the win on the mound since he didn't go a minimum five innings, but he did strike out five Missions over four plus innings.
