The Athlete of the Week has shown some pop to go along with your bunny hop this Easter.
Port Aransas softball catcher Megan Garrett is coming off a stellar week at the plate, hitting a grand slam and a solo home run against Woodsboro, and following that up with a 4-2 win over Freer.
Garrett will also participate in the Area Track Meet next week, and plays on the Marlins' basketball team.
She will be behind the dish Tuesday at 4pm in Banquete, playing against district rival Agua Dulce as the final week of the regular season begins.
