CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - The Corpus Christi IceRays returned to their home ice at the American Bank Center Thursday for the start of training camp.

The IceRays will be looking for their first playoff berth since becoming a part of the North American Hockey League two seasons ago. Corpus Christi held a late lead over Odessa in the standings last season before the Jackalopes stormed back and took the final playoff spot.

Coach Justin Quenneville will also have to find a replacement for stellar goalie Anthony Stolarz, who was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the second round of the NHL draft this past June.

Corpus Christi's season kicks off September 12th in the NAHL Showcase in Blaine, MN.
