CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Tryouts for the 2008-2009 Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Islander Dance Team will be held Saturday, May 17, at 1 p.m. at the

Performance routine requirements include right split, switch leap, right split leap, double pirouette, axel, toe touch and turn sequence. Dancers must bring 6-to-8 eight counts of original choreography. Scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded to all members.
The Islander Dance Team, a major contribution to the University Athletic Program, was founded to develop dance and performance abilities, encourage the enrichment of physical fitness, self-esteem and school spirit.
