LOCAL YOUNG PEOPLE TO HELP
POLICE DEPARTMENT COMBAT GRAFFITI VANDALS

The Corpus Christi Police Department’s Graffiti Task Force is pleased to announce that, as was the case last weekend, a group of youth volunteers from the Most Precious Blood Catholic Church will be assisting the task force in its graffiti wipe out efforts.

Weather permitting, the volunteers will be helping out from 8 a.m. until about 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2008 as they paint over graffiti at the Dollar General at 4714 Greenwood, and then at the Bottle Shop at 7109 S. Staples.

The volunteers are all middle and high school aged teens who focus on activities that benefit the community and development good citizenship.

In this case, they’ll take on the handiwork of vandals which has built up during the past year.

For more information or to see about getting involved in future graffiti clean up efforts, please contact Graffiti Coordinator DeAnna Rosales at 826-2940 or 673-3563.
