Crime Stoppers is a 50 C 3 Non Profit Organization that assists the Corpus Christi Police, Corpus Christi Independent School District Police and the Nueces County Sheriff's Department with information on unsolved felony crimes. In 2007, Crime Stoppers received over 7,000 calls that provided Detectives' with leads to several unsolved crimes. Of these leads, Police was able to solve 325 cases, which lead to over $100,000 in recovered property, $90,000 in seized drugs, and the recovery of 64 weapons from our schools and our community. Therefore, Crime Stoppers paid its anonymous callers of $43,000 in rewards, for the information that provided our children a safer environment and for us a safe community.
