This week, we are featuring a Hit & Run that occurred @ 13301 South Padre Island Drive, The J.F.K. Causeway (Westbound) In this incident, the bicyclist was out for a ride on Christmas Day. While traveling from the island towards Flour Bluff, he was struck by a vehicle heading in the same direction. The driver of this vehicle then fled the scene of the accident with no regard to the well being of the victim. The bicyclist, Hugo Maybin, sustained broken bones, sever cuts and scrapes due to the accident. Witnesses at the scene of the accident described the vehicle as a white Dodge truck and gave the police a possible partial license plate of 5J---.
