Robert Gonzalez, nutritionist with the Food Bank of Corpus Christi talked about the upcoming classes "Healthy Kitchen" Classes.  They will begin April 6 and they will be held at 826 Krill Street.  For more information visit foodbankofcorpuschristi.org

He also discussed the 2009 Gulf Coast Nutrition Coalition "Spring Training Conference".  It will be held Wednesday April 1 at the Education Service Center located on 209 Water Street. 

3 Star Student This week's 3 Star Student was Nicole Pinney from WC Andrews Elementary in Portland.  She was presented with a Certificate of Recognition signed by all the KIII-TV Anchors.  She also received a $25 certificate to start a savings account from 1st Community Bank
C.C. Parks & Recreation Department The C.C. Parks & Rec. Dept. & their C.C. Weed and Seed Program will be Offering Free IRS Income Tax Filing Assistnace. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance(VITA) Program volunteers will help low-income, elderly E-file their income tax return free of charge for anyone who has an annual income of $42,000 or less.  This service will be offered at the Weed & Seed's Tax Center located at Timon's Ministries, 10501 SPID.
Buc Days Commission The 71st Annual Buc Days Celebration will take place April 23 through May 3 at the Corpus Christi Bayfront.  For more information visit www.bucdays.com
