Be Safe from Diabetes: Child Obesity Study

A new report from the Centers for Disease Control finds that obesity remains high in the U.S., but the number of young, obese children is going down.

Obesity can cause a whole host of health problems, from heart disease and stroke to diabetes and some cancers.

CDC researchers compared our current obesity rates to a study that was completed 10 years ago, and they found that, with older kids, the numbers are still high. Doctors advise parents to take the lead to prevent their children from becoming obese in the future.
