Q-What is our scheme of the week?

Local consumers are receiving two mail schemes.

Offers arriving in Coastal Bend mail boxes.

The first, from G. F. Institute of Kansas, appears as sort of a telegram. It talks about the release to the consumer of $25,000 in government funds. Victim is asked to call a number. When they do, they are asked to pay a $60 fee for their “package”. The Package only contains list of places that give grants. A complete waste.

The second mailing is from a company using the initials CCD out of Florida. The green post card looks like a post office notice delivery card. The schemers again want you to call them. They say have your credit card ready. Supposedly there is a $6.95 delivery fee for your $50 valued package. Best advice-don’t give out your credit card number to strangers.
