Midland Returns Favor of a Beatdown to Hooks

Just a day after the Hooks hung 14 runs on the RockHounds, Midland returned the favor Monday in a 14-2 win over Corpus Christi.

The RockHounds hit four home runs off Hooks' pitchers including the game-sealing grand slam from Max Muncy in the fourth inning off of Corpus Christi starter David Rollins. Rollins allowed eight runs, seven earned in four innings pitched.

With the loss the Hooks drop back to two and a half games out of first place behind Midland. The two will play game three of the series Tuesday night beginning at 7:10 p.m. at Whataburger Field.
