Teen Accused of Selling Destructive Paint

An 18 year old part time student at Moody High School has been arrested, after a search warrant at his apartment turned up a number items that police say were used to vandalize a significant portion of the city.

This was a joint effort between Corpus Christi Independent School police and they Corpus Christi Police Officers. CCISD Police Chief Cavazos says, "This is not the last time we'll team up with the city PD and attack the problem." The joint investigation led police to an apartment on the 4000 block of Schanen and to 18 year old Jesus Antonio Maldonado. He's facing charges of Manufacture of Criminal Instruments, Tampering with Evidence, and at least five cases of graffiti.

Police believe he was supplying graffiti implements and paraphernalia to numberous tagging crews through out Corpus Christi.

They say this should be a wake up call for all parents, know what is in your kids' rooms. Police believe Tony has been spray painting and vandalizing city and private property since he was 15 years old.
