There were a few local observances of All Souls Day, or "Dia de los Muertos."

First up and event Friday evening at Texas A&M Corpus Christi, featuring authentic Aztec dancers and performers showing off various rituals. Also, the group, Amigos de Mexico created an altar honoring the 4 Garcia siblings who all became doctors and had a major impact on South Texas, Drs. Hector, Xico, Cleo and José Antonio.

And over at Rose Hill Cemetery dozens of families were honoring their loved ones on this All Souls Day. A holiday steeped in tradition those who celebrate this day believe that once a person dies a new stage in their life actually begins.
