-The superintendent of Bishop ISD reports their proposed school bond issue passed, 289 for, and 240 against. The 24-million dollar bond package includes the construction of a new high school, improved security at the 5 Bishop campuses, a renovated football stadium, and the demolition of the current junior high.
-In Calallen, a 43-million dollar school bond issue also passed, with 986-votes in favor, and 491-votes against. That will help with major improvements to their schools. The proposition to pay off an old bond for Calallen also passed, with 939 votes in favor, and 498 votes against.
-the Sinton ISD tax rollback proposal was approved. It means the tax rate will go up just over 1 percent. The votes for that election were 334-in favor, and 160 against.
-Collective bargaining for Nueces and Kleberg County sheriff's deputies was approved by substantial margins.
-As for the 16 proposed constitutional amendments on the ballot, the vote counting may take til at least Tuesday to complete. Based on the numbers in so far, all 16 state constitutional amendments were winning.
