The Corpus Christi and Annaville Fire Departments battled an overnight blaze that left one person dead.
Crews got the call at around 2:50 this morning. When they arrived at the home on the 8900 block of McGloin, it was already fully engulfed. One person, who was wheel chair bound, was not able to escape the fire. Another person was taken to the hospital, and treated for smoke inhalation.
Officials say there were three or four people in the home at the time of the blaze. Firefighters say it was under control within 30 minutes.
The identity of the victim was not immediately available, but officials believe it was a middle-aged man.
We'll have more information as it becomes available. Stay tuned to Channel 3 for the latest.
