The Craft Training Center in the 7400 block of Leopard offers students a chance to learn a trade while holding a job in their selected field. Local industry is in need of pipefitters, welders and electricians. The exact kind of training you can receive at the center. Many of those who are training here graduated from high school and wanted more than an entry level job at a restaurant or retail store. They generally make 10 dollars or more an hour. Once certified, they can eventually start earning more than twice that amount.
