Murder Suspect Appears in Court; Bond Set at $250K

A man arrested in Fort Bend County for a Corpus Christi murder has been booked into the Nueces County Jail. Friday morning Joseph Cancino, 27, had his first court appearance before a magistrate court judge.

Cancino was wanted for a shooting that happened at an Annaville night club along the 2400 block of Rand Morgan back on July 9th.

Investigators with the Corpus Christi Police Department and other law enforcement agencies worked to track down Cancino in Fort Bend County, where he was arrested just a few days later. According to police, a fight began inside the bar and spilled outside where Rodriguez was shot.

Cancino's bond has been set at $250,000.
