Rockport Christmas dinner is served along with gifts for children

Thomas who is running for Chief Justice of the 13th District Court of Appeals. He says he does not want the people of the area to feel forgotten.

McAllen attorney Ray Thomas and several volunteers served several tamales for dinner and gave gifts to the community of Rockport.

This provided a welcome pause to the recovery efforts.

The recent snowfall did not cheer the community up, the surprise visit from Santa seemed to do the job.

Thomas also hosted a toy drive and was able to give away over 600 toys at the event!

And even though its the season of giving volunteers say they are still trying to pick up the pieces of their homes and businesses themselves.

Furthermore proving, they are still and will always be Rockport strong.
