(Corpus Christi, May 28, 2008) Local DJ's with 105.1 FM Magic Tejano spent time debating CCISD's decision to keep seniors from participating in graduation cermonies, who failed the taks test.

Teresa Foster's son, Javier, a senior at Ray High School failed to pass the test. Now Foster says his graduation plans are ruined, along with her son's self esteem.

Janette Cantu, a junior who suffers from dyslexia, says the pressure to pass the test is too much.

They are hoping a judge rules in favor of a Corpus Christi mother, Dalia Brem who filed a lawsuit against ccisd on behalf her daughter. They want the judge to issue a restraining order preventing, the district from enforcing its current policy. A hearing is scheduled for Thursday morning.

3 News contacted CCISD Superintendent Scott Elliff, he told me the don't pass, don't walk, "is a long standing policy in our district. I will be in court tomorrow. The decision will be up to the judge."

Its important to note.... The school board reviewed its policy earlier this year, but made no change.
