Corpus Christi Police are investigating the death of a 35 year old San Antonio woman as a homicide. The Nueces County Medical Examiner hasn't officially ruled on the cause of the woman's death. She's been identified as Vanessa Farley Ramon. Some beach-goers discovered the decomposing remains Thursday in the dunes, just north of Beach Access 3.

Since the discovery, police have learned that Ramon was wanted on an aggravated sexual assault of a child charge out of Bexar county.

"That is a concern when we saw that." said Corpus Christi Lieutenant Billy Breedlove. "It could be a motive but at the same time there's no obvious sign she was a victim of a homicide."

Still yet, police say they have to investigate it as a homicide just to be sure they are thorough.

If you have any information surrounding the circumstances of Ramon's death you're urged to call Corpus Christi Police at (361) 888-TIPS.
