$33,000, 250 Machines Confiscated from San Diego Game Rooms

An 8-liner bust Wednesday night in San Diego yielded quite the loot. The Duval County Sheriff said they collected around $33,000 from three different game rooms.

Seven people were also arrested in the bust.

On Thursday, the Sheriff's Department, with the help of state prisoners and employees of the County Commissioners Office, removed some 250 machines from game rooms in San Diego.

"These are establishments that have been operating illegally. This has been an ongoing investigation for about 45 days now," Duval County Sheriff Romeo Ramirez said. "I said before, we weren't going to do anymore warnings. I've asked them to operate within the laws. Apparently they didn't. This is the consequences."

Ramirez promises that more arrests are coming. As of right now, the machines confiscated Thursday are in an undisclosed location in Benavides.
