Local smokers are expressing their frustration and concern over the City Council's decision to impose a ban on smoking in bars and restaurants. Of three longtime smokers K-Triple-I spoke with , all agreed that the council should've allowed the individual businesses to make up their own minds as to whether they wished to remain a smoking establishment. All agree that they feel like their rights have been taken from away. However they will go along with the restriction for now. One individual told 3-News that he will remember how the Councilmembers voted this year, so when the time comes, they too will vote against that particular councilmember. It is a general concensus that most bars will suffer from the ban however a couple of business owners report their business has increased some filling up the inside and the outside patios. The one main question we asked these smokers is....will they curtail their smoking due to the ban. We recieved an overwhelming NO as an answer.
