A Tree for All Giveaway from the Port of Corpus Christi

The Port of Corpus Christi is hoping to place a lot of smiles on families who are unable to provide a Christmas tree this year.

They are giving away 200 Christmas trees to needy families for their 15th annual A Tree for All giveaway.

Along with the Port of Corpus Christi, NuStar Energy, HDR Engineering and Home Deport are putting on the event.

Patricia Cardenas, director of communication for the Port of CC, said it is all about seeing the smiles on the kids that were expecting not to see a Christmas tree.

"This is a very special event for Port employees," Cardenas said. "We start getting ready for this event like in June and July."

The trees will come with all the fixings, meaning the trimming, tree stands, lights and ornaments.
