Accident Near Driscoll Sends Four Children to the Hospital

A rollover crash sent four children to the hospital Sunday night. The crash happened around 6:30 Sunday evening on County Road 75 and County Road 16 near Driscoll.

Two HALO Flight crews were called out to the scene to transport patients. DPS troopers say a 14-year old driver of a small white 4-door car was traveling way too fast when she suddenly lost control of the car causing it to flip several times. It then crashed into a utility pole. The 14-year old driver was thrown from the car during the crash.

Troopers also say there were 3 other children in the vehicle.

A DPS Trooper on the scene told 3 News, "a 14-year old unlicensed driver with 3 other children were inside the vehicle and were out practice driving....It appears that speed and experience played a definite factor.

The 14-year driver was take by HALO Flight to Christus Spohn Memorial.

No word on the condition on the other children.
