Actors were busy on Sunday practicing and getting ready for the 72nd annual Easter Sunrise Passion Play! Those who gather early on Easter morning at Cole Park will witness the play beginning with the birth of Christ, moving to his teachings and miracles, and ending with the account of his death and resurrection.
Those who participate say it is all about telling a special story. Debra Scott-Brown who is the director of the play told 3 News, "I'd really like to see that. This is something special for everyone that comes out and that they pay it forward when they're done."
The Easter tradition spans over seven decades will take place at the Cole Park Amphitheater Sunday, April 20th at 7:00 a.m.
We're told they still need more volunteers. If you'd like to help out you can call (361) 442-6194.
