INGLESIDE--

AN UPDATE ON A CRANE COLLAPSE IN INGLESIDE TODAY THAT HAS NOW CLAIMED A LIFE...

IT HAPPENED AT THE SOUTH YARD OF GULF MARINE FABRICATORS OFF FARM ROAD 1069... THE VICTIM, 50 YEAR OLD BEBO FLORES OF GREGORY, WAS ONE OF FOUR CRANE OPERATORS WHO WERE TRYING TO MOVE A 1000 TON OIL PLATFORM WHEN THE CRANE COLLAPSED, PINNING FLORES INSIDE THE CAB OF HIS CRANE.

WORKERS HAD TO BRING IN ANOTHER CRANE TO REMOVE THE TONS OF METAL THAT CAME CRASHING DOWN ON HIM.... ULTIMATELY, CREWS BROUGHT IN THE JAWS OF LIFE TO TRY TO GET FLORES OUT...

HE WAS RUSHED TO A HOSPITAL, BUT DIED IN ICU THIS EVENING... TWO OTHER WORKERS ALSO SUFFERED INJURES...  FEDERAL INVESTIGATORS ARRIVED THIS AFTERNOON TO BEGIN AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE CAUSE OF THIS ACCIDENT.

HE WAS RUSHED TO A HOSPITAL, BUT DIED IN ICU THIS EVENING... TWO OTHER WORKERS ALSO SUFFERED INJURES...  FEDERAL INVESTIGATORS ARRIVED THIS AFTERNOON TO BEGIN AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE CAUSE OF THIS ACCIDENT.
