ORDER TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE
COUNTY BEACHES AND BEACH ACCESS POINTS

WHEREAS, the National Weather Service on July 21,2008 forecasted landfall of Tropical Storrn/Hurricane Dolly at or near the
Nueces' County coastline;

WHEREAS, storm surges along the coastline are probable;

WHEREAS, Chapter 251 of the Texas Transportation Code provides the Commissioners Court the authority to temporarily close
roads, as further described in Texas Attorney General Op. M-633 (1970) and the State approved Nueces County Beach Management
Plan provides the Commissioners Court authority to close areas of the public beach in cases of Public Necessity; and
WHEREAS, the Nueces County Commissioners Court has determined that there is a need to protect against the loss of human life
and property along the Nueces County coastline;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE NUECES COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT THAT THE

FOLLOWING BEACHES AND ACCESS POINTS ARE CLOSED UNTIL TROPICAL STORM/HURRICANE DOLLY AND
ITS ASSOCIATED STORM SURGES AFFECTING THE NUECES COUNTY COASTLINE HAVE DISSIPATED:

1. Padre Balli Park

2. IB Magee, Jr. Park

3. Packery Channel Property

4. Bates Beach
5. Beach Access Roads 4,5, and 6

6. Cotter Street beginning at the ill Magee, Jr. Park landward boundary line

7. Access Road into Padre Balli Park - Main Entrance
This Order shall take effect at 6:00 p.m. on July 22, 2008 after its issuance and remain in effect until Tropical StormlHurricane Dolly and its associated storm surges affecting the Nueces County Coastline have dissipated.

FROM THE STATE OF TEXAS:
Due to the approaching inclement weather, the Texas Health and Health Services will close its offices in Cameron, Willacy, Hidalgo, Starr, Brooks, Jim Hogg and Zapata counties tomorrow Wednesday, July 23. Offices will reopen on Thursday at 8:00am as weather permits.

Offices in Kleberg, Nueces, San Patricio, Refugio, Aransas and Jim Wells counties will be closed from 8-12 on Wednesday July 23. Those office will reopen at 1:00pm on Wednesday as weather permits.

FROM THE TEXAS A&M HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER, COASTAL BEND:
Could you please announce the following closure information at the earliest possibly opportunity:

The Texas A&M Health Science Center Coastal Bend Health Education Center will be closing all three Corpus Christi offices immediately, in preparation for Tropical Storm DOLLY. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to monitor their Health Science Center email accounts for news about when the Center will reopen.

All major attractions downtown are scheduled to be open "business as usual" tomorrow, except for the Art Museum of South Texas that will be closed due to hurricane Dolly tomorrow and Thursday. They will be back open on Friday.

Due to Dolly and the in climate weather with the storm the YMCA of the Coastal Bend will close:
Summer Day Camp - Wednesday, July 23, 2008
T.C. Ayers Free Swimming Program - Wednesday and Thursday July 23 and 24, 2008
OPEN FOR BUSINESS as of 6:34 p.m.
The YMCA facility will be open for normal business hours.

Services for the Harbor Ferry will be suspended due to the probable high winds for Wednesday, July 23, 2008 with a possibility of also suspending service for Thursday, July 24, 2008.

KINGSVILLE, Texas (July 22, 2008) – Dr. Terisa Remelius, Vice President for Student Affairs, acting as designee for Interim President Dr. Bob Strawser, has authorized cancellation of classes on the Kingsville campus on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, July 23-25; and closure of the Kingsville campus on Wednesday and Thursday, July 23-24.

CCISD cancels afternoon classes at Mary Grett School
due to severe weather

The Corpus Christi Independent School District has cancelled afternoon classes at Mary Grett School due to inclement weather associated with Hurricane Dolly. It is important to note the following:

·ALL classes at Mary Grett school located at 4402 Castenon, scheduled for this afternoon Wednesday, July 23, have been cancelled. Classes will resume at regularly scheduled times tomorrow, Thursday, July 24.

·ALL other summer school classes will release at their regularly scheduled times. Buses will run on regular schedule. Parents/guardians should note there could be delays based on inclement weather.

·ALL summer school classes will be open and run a regular schedule tomorrow, Thursday, July 24.

CCISD emergency responders are working collaboratively with the City of Corpus Christi. They are in constant communication regarding the weather situation.

Parents/Guardians and CCISD staff members are advised to listen to local radio and television newscasts or check the CCISD website at www.ccisd.us for the latest information concerning possible closures or delays.

Corpus Christi, Weslaco Field Offices Closed due to Hurricane Dolly

AUSTIN, TX—The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI), Division of Workers’ Compensation has closed its Corpus Christi and Weslaco field offices until further notice due to severe weather caused by Hurricane Dolly. Additional field offices in the coastal area (Beaumont, Houston East, Houston West, Missouri City and Victoria) remain open but remain on alert for severe weather conditions.

Injured workers needing assistance in the affected areas may contact TDI by calling 1-800-252-7031.
