ALICE--A Jim Wells County Judge has decided that some undernourished animals seized by county authorities won't be going back to their owners.

Thirty-five animals, including horses, chickens, pigs, dogs and cats were taken from the home of Bill and Shannon Frost about a week ago.

A veternarian confirmed the animals were in bad condition. He said the horses were about 400 pounds underweight and couldn't even walk.

At a hearing this morning, the family presented documents showing they did buy feed for the animals, but the judge said the animals would stay with the county.

The family now has ten days to appeal.

i am more than sure charges will be filed on them because this court hearing was just for custody of the animals then they will file criminal charges against the frost's which is what needs to be done.

Why were no charges filed against these losers? The judge said they had no excuse for treating the animals that way. Well, that judge has no excuse for them letting them off easy. They need to be punished.

I am so happy that they did not get their animals back, but i am sure the frosts will appeal it so we the people need to take stand for these animals and save them. I have to thank the news for staying on top of this and hope they still stay on top of this story to prevent them from trying to get the animals back.
