DRISCOLL--A two car accident this afternoon on Highway 77 in Driscoll shuts down one lane.

Officers said a Kingsville woman ran a red light, broadsiding a big rig at the intersection of the highway and FM 665. Two people in the small passenger vehicle were hurt and taken to the hospital with injuries.

Meanwhile, the truck leaked oil following the accident. A haz mat team came out to clean up the mess. Both lanes on highway 77 are now open.

even if her brakes had gone out, she should quit being cheap, get the brakes fixed and quit putting other peoples lives in danger. People need to understand they aren't the only ones on the road.

to mateo, if you knew (or any family member) that the brakes were not working, why was the vehicle being driven instead of getting fixed? defective brakes=defective equipment. there is no such thing as an "accident". its called a crash. a police report will say "crash report", not accident. consider yourself luck that your mother is alive.

Thank God nobody got Killed. A big Rig and a little car usually means death. Maybe she will learn to slow down and not run red lights.
