FALFURRIAS-- It turns out rapper Lil Wayne was not arrested over the weekend for posession of marijuana, but a small amount of drugs were found on his tour bus.

Brooks County officials said Little Wayne whose real name is Dwayne Carter Isn't facing any criminals charges.

What authorities found were three bags of marijuana on his two tour buses last Friday at the Falfurrias Checkpoint.

26year-old Jamar Coleman, a member of his entourage, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor. Deputies report Coleman had less than an ounce of pot on him.

Five others from his entourage were cited for drug paraphernalia on the bus after a third bag with marijuana was found, but nobody claimed it.

Natural Gas

Should the city of Corpus Christi privatize its natural gas system or keep it under city ownership?

  • Yes. Sell it and let private business run it.
  • No. Keep it as a city department.
  • I don't know.
