SINTON--Two murder suspects wanted in the murder of a Sinton woman are now under arrest. The first one was caught on Saturday in Taft, while the second person was arrested Monday night in Central Texas.
Both Sinton murder suspects have now been identified in the wake of that town's first homicide since 2004. This as the woman murdered at a Sinton apartment complex was laid to rest.
Sinton Police have been working hard on finding out who killed Angie Aguirre. While no motive has been released, investigators identified the two men they believe are responsible in her murder.
Aguirre, 46, was laid to rest today in San Patricio County. She was murdered last week at the El Rey Apartments in Sinton. Police report she was shot several times inside her apartment.
"Angie was a beautiful person," said Adrianna Cantu, a family friend. "She always had a smile and a laugh and so does her family."
Investigators won't release information about the shooting or the motive, but one family member said it happened in front of two adult children.
"They saw what happened when it happened so it's really hard on them and they got to see everything," said Soledad Aguirre, a family member said.
Investigators said 27-year-old Ruben Molina of Taft was arrested on a probation violation Saturday and later confessed to the murder.
"We have managed to track down one suspect," Lt. Eric Blanchard of the Sinton Police Department. "He is in custody and he admitted his involvement in the shooting."
They have a warrant for a second man, 25-year-old Isaac Tamayo of Aransas Pass.
"He is from Aransas Pass and there is information on him in our system from Aransas Pass," Lt. Blanchard said. "I do not know if he will be leaving anywhere else at this point."
Late tonight, authorities confirmed Tamayo was arrested in Giddings, Texas, which is about 55 miles east of Austin, by the Texas Rangers. Sinton Police investigators will go there to interview the murder suspect and bring him back to the Coastal Bend to face the criminal charges.
