Attorney Arrested for Allegedly Hiring Someone to Kill a Witness

Corpus Christi attorney Paul Andrews, 57, was arrested Wednesday on charges of criminal solicitation of capital murder stemming from a lawsuit that he's found himself in.

Back in May, Andrews was indicted by a Bexar County Grand Jury on barratry charges, or soliciting business. After a lengthy investigation between the Bexar County District Attorney and the Texas Rangers, it was discovered that Andrews allegedly tried to hire someone to kill a witness in his barratry case.

Andrews, who has a law office in Corpus Christi, now faces a first degree felony punishable by up to 99 years in jail.
