Baby Locked in Vehicle Without AC Rescued by Police Officers

Police were called out to the Taqueria Jalisco in the 900 block of South Port Monday afternoon after an 11-month old child was reported locked inside of a vehicle with its ignition and air conditioning turned off.

11-month old Emiliano's mother and father were accidentally locked out of the vehicle while walking around to the back of the car to put his diaper bag away.

After about seven minutes inside of the vehicle without the air conditioning turned on, the baby began sweating and vomiting. That's when police on the scene decided to break the car window to get the infant out of the vehicle.

Emiliano was returned to his mother and father and was reportedly okay.
