Back to School Brigade Brings Supply Donation Bins to Dollar Tree Stores

The school supply checklist seems to get longer every year, and while buy school supplies is no big deal for some families, for some, the supply list tests their budget.

That's why the Dollar Tree has joined forces with the Back to School Brigade, a nationwide school supply campaign that is sponsored by Operation Homefront. Last year, Back to School Brigade collected more than $4.7 million in school supplies simply by setting out collection bins at Dollar Tree stores around the country.

Those supplies go to the families of those who serve our military and are in need of a little help.

The collection bins will be set out in all area Dollar Tree stores until Friday, so there's plenty of time to donate. If you are a qualifying military family, there is also time to register to receive some school supplies. The deadline is Tuesday, Aug. 19.
