Big Rig Impounded After Driver Knocking Down Traffic Light

An 18-wheeler caused an estimated $5,000 in damage just after 5 a.m. Thursday when it knocked down a traffic signal light at Antelope and North Carancahua Streets.

Police said the big rig was trying to turn onto Antelope Street when it hit the traffic pole. The driver told police that his brakes had locked up.

The driver was cited for the crash and for not having insurance. His 18-wheeler was impounded.
