Our Health Department officials put out a warning after a bat tested positive for rabies. A young boy who lives in the 5100 block of Bevly Drive, which is near King High, came into contact with the animal. His parents then took him to the doctor. Animal Control was eventually given the dead bat and it was sent off to a State lab. This is the first case of rabies this year involving bats. Weekend First Edition Anchor Michael Gibson has the story.
