WACO, TEXAS (KCEN) - Baylor gave the all clear to students Thursday after issuing a campus wide alert when a shooting suspect was seen near campus.
The shooting happened at South 9th St. and Benton. The victim was killed and the suspect was believed to have left on foot before getting in a 4-door gold sedan.
Police found the car at Ivy Ave. and 7th St. which is where the suspect was seen walking toward Baylor. That's when the University issued a campus wide alert.
Waco Police said there was no indication that additional citizens, Baylor Staff or students were in any immediate danger. They said the shooting was not random and did not in anyway involve others outside the immediate crime scene.
The suspect was described as a black male in his late teens to early 20s with a fade haircut. He was wearing a white tank top and tan shorts.
