Breast Cancer Awareness Month - First Friday

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Mammograms are important for women and can be the difference between life and death.

Kim Boone and Lamar Graves with Christus Spohn Health Systems, are also breast cancer survivors.

Early detection is key to surviving the disease.  FIRST FRIDAY is a breast cancer awareness effort created in 1994.  The mission of FIRST FRIDAY is to increase awareness of the importance of early detection and to provide free screening mammograms for those who can not otherwise afford the care.
