Busted Water Pipe Prompts Concerns on City Southside During Stage 2 Water Restrictions

Concerned residents called into our newsroom about a busted water pipe causing water to flood the streets on the city's southside. This all happening in the area of Acushnet and Saratoga that's behind the old HEB building. Water was flooding the area and when we arrived we found a crew on scene repairing the leak. We confirmed with the repair crew who didn't want to go on camera  that the water was coming from a busted pipe and should be fixed by Sunday. Now this is just another reminder that we are currently under stage two water restrictions. Which means if you see a busted water pipe call the water hotline as soon as possible to report the leak. For more information on the water restrictions you can call the city's water hotline at 361-826-1600.
